Can you bring a hoverboard, scooter or skateboard on a cruise?
It depends on your cruise line. MSC allows it with limits. Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Princess, Celebrity, Disney, Holland America and Virgin Voyages ban it.

Hoverboards, self-balancing scooters, air wheels, Segways, skateboards, roller skates and shoes with wheels are all banned.
Carnival's own pages disagree. The banned items list bans Segways outright. Carnival's wheelchair page says Segways used as mobility devices need approval ahead of time and can only be used in port. We show the stricter rule. We show the stricter rule.
