| Cruise line | Status | What the rule says | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carnival | Allowed with limits | Oxygen cylinders are allowed for a certified medical condition. Don't pack them in checked bags. Take them to Guest Services when you board. | Official pageChecked Nov 6, 2026 |
| Royal Caribbean | Allowed with limits | If you need oxygen, you must bring your own and meet the line's rules before boarding. Call the Access team first. Tell them whether you're bringing it or having it delivered, plus the vendor's name and phone number. | Official pageChecked Nov 6, 2026 |
| Norwegian | Allowed with limits | You can bring your own oxygen and oxygen equipment from home. Contact Norwegian's Access & Compliance Department before you sail. Liquid oxygen is not allowed on any Norwegian ship, and Scootaround is the only outside company allowed to deliver oxygen supplies to the ship. | Official pageChecked Nov 6, 2026 |
| Princess | Allowed with limits | Oxygen tanks and concentrators are allowed. Email the Access Office before you sail and tell them how many tanks you'll bring. Carry oxygen by hand, never in checked bags, and bring your prescription. Ships can't refill tanks and have little room to store them, so the line suggests arranging oxygen racks. Pages disagree: The FAQ says concentrators need no approval or advance notice. The FAQ's oxygen tank answer and the Accessibility at Sea page say oxygen must be reviewed before you board. We show the stricter rule: tell Princess first. We show the stricter rule. | Official pageChecked Nov 6, 2026 |
| Celebrity | Allowed with limits | All types of oxygen cylinders are allowed. Tell Celebrity how many, what type and the delivery plan. Storage rules differ by ship, but you can keep some or all cylinders in your cabin. | Official pageChecked Nov 6, 2026 |
| Disney | Allowed with limits | Tell Disney before you sail that you are bringing oxygen equipment. Liquid oxygen is banned. The ship can't supply or refill oxygen cylinders, so you must bring your own supply. | Official pageChecked Nov 6, 2026 |
| MSC | Allowed with limits | Arrange oxygen cylinders through a vendor, up to E or M-24 size, and only one in your cabin at a time. Concentrators must work on ship power and go in your carry-on. Fill in MSC's medical form at least 30 days before sailing. | Official pageChecked Nov 6, 2026 |
| Holland America | Allowed with limits | Oxygen tanks and concentrators are allowed. Email Guest Accessibility before you sail and tell them how many tanks you'll bring. Carry oxygen by hand, never in checked bags, and bring your prescription. Ships can't refill tanks and have little room to store them, so the line suggests arranging oxygen racks. Pages disagree: The breathing-device page says concentrators need no approval or advance notice. The oxygen tank page says to contact Guest Accessibility before you sail. We show the stricter rule: tell the line first. We show the stricter rule. | Official pageChecked Nov 6, 2026 |
| Virgin Voyages | Allowed with limits | You must arrange your own oxygen rental and delivery. You can hand-carry only 2 cylinders per cabin, and the rest must be delivered. Liquid oxygen and cylinders larger than E or M-24 size are banned. | Official pageChecked Nov 6, 2026 |

Questions people ask
Do I need to tell the line ahead of time?
Plan on it. Several lines ask for notice before you sail, and some of their own pages disagree on whether a concentrator needs approval. When in doubt, contact the line's access team early.
